Hey have you guys heard about this? I get google alerts for Daughtry and I just got this today...

Daughtry is being sued by Randy Mazick because the song “Feels Like Tonight” on the album “Daughtry” is a copy of his own song called “Tonight.” alleges Mazick. The lawsuit says Mazick said his band, The Asphalt, first performed the song in 2005, ahead of Daughtry's 2006 release.

The lawsuit names Apple as one of the defendants because Apple distributed the song on its iTunes Store. Mazick also named producer and songwriter Lukasz Gottwald, music publishing company Kasz Money Publishing, songwriter Martin Karl Sandberg, music publishing company Maratone, songwriter Sheppard Solomon, Bertelsmann Music Group, and RCA records.

Mazick is asking the court for damages and the defendant’s profits, as well as other monetary awards the court deems suitable.

The What About Now video has been a god-send to so many. What a poignant picture it paints of global poverty. But it doesn’t stop there. It proceeds to encourage us that we can be the difference. Wherever I have shown it, it has brought tears to people’s eyes - to groups of adults in schools, who in turn showed it to groups of students. The WAN video touches hearts and provokes thought in a way few others have.

Chris and Daughtry have done so much for us and for the world. They have unselfishly given of themselves - their time, their money, and their hearts. They have changed our Daughtry-Lifer lives.

I have had the AWESOME opportunity to be a part of the VIP experience twice! I wouldn’t change a thing! The guys were great but at the same time I feel a little selfish! "This part of the country is really good to us, we've noticed. Our fans are super-polite," said Daughtry.

My husband and I feel so thankful for such a great experience in Syracuse this past thursday! These 5 guys are so genuinely nice it is amazing! Joey came over to say hi to me and my husband before the show and signed a picture of him and I and took more pictures with me which I thought was so great. Then after the show all 5 came out first it was JP, Brian, Joey, Steely and then Chris. AMAZING!

While it's not my best work it's okay and I just gave each of them a copy so I hope they have gotten a chance to read it. Wish I knew what they thought of it. I had them framed and decorated them to make them stand out more.
