The first thing that attracted me to Chris Daughtry was his voice - it cuts through the beat, the strings, and the silence like the sharpest of knives. Yet it carries a warmth that is coated with emotion, depth, and complexity. Nowhere else have I heard this wonderful dissonance - this combination of cutting edge street-smart and down-home southern innocence. Clearly, Chris Daughtry's voice alone is enough reason to be a fan.

It is extremely refreshing to see a genuinely good guy make it in such a crazy entertainment industry and to stay grounded.
