My husband just asked me if I think that I will still be this big of a fan in a year or two.. Of course, immediately I answered "Absolutely!" Funny! He then asked if it was their music or Chris.. lol! I said "It's all of them. Have you listened to the words!" He didn't ask anymore questions after that....

the first time chris opened his mouth to sing on american idol which was the audition. i about lost it. the only singer that gives me butterflies in my stomach and still does. from then on i was hooked to the television until his last appearance. finally daughtry came out and ive been listening to the cd since release. with the job i do i always hated being on the computer any more than i had to...finally i couldnt take it so just recently i joined the website. i have been a die hard since day 1 tho! the guys are amazing!!

Long long ago,
When I was surfing through channels,
I heard some bald rocker sang on AI.
I didn't know who that was,
But it was amazing.

Soon after,
I forgotten about it.

Later on,
When I was using my computer,
Back facing the TV,
MTV played It's Not Over,
And I kinda too notice,
(normally it doesn't work like that)

So yeah,
It started like that,
Later on I got to know that he was that person I heard on AI.

Amazing,
I guess that's the good thing about bands,
That have that special thing that separates they from others.

I really do LOVE Joey. It's almost like Chris is the first love that you NEVER really get over and Joey is that new passionate fresh kind of love. So I love them both, but Joey is my current man. Wendy can take my leftovers of Chris. Ha, ha. But like I told you before Wendy, you have a lot more people to compete with for him as a boyfriend, including his wife. See Joey isn't married, although I am so I guess this is kind of a moot point huh?

Ok, let me preface this by saying a few things about what attracts me to men.
I LOVE BALD GUYS!!! I LOVE MEN IN COWBOY HATS!!!! AND I LOVE A FAMILY MAN!!!! So two years ago when this Hot bald guy in a cowboy hat came across my television screen and they were telling his story on American Idol, his wife was crying and saying how much he had done for her and her kids and how much she just wanted his dream to come true, I can say, they did a GREAT job of baiting me. I was rooting for this guy. But then, he opened his mouth and sang "The letter" with such confidence and greatness that I was then and there HOOKED!!!! Hooked on Chris that is. I was so... hooked that I got on message boards for the first time in my life. It was because of that, that I was able to get some tickets that were held back for members of Daughtry Official and I was able to see them live in such an intimate setting (Birdy's in Indianapolis) and when I saw the members of the band walking around the bar, talking to the fans and signing autographs, I WAS TOTALLY IN LOVE WITH THIS BAND. There are so..... many bands out there that have great talent and are marketed REALLY well, but it is this bands "down-to-earth" attitudes and there complete appreciation and dedication to their fans that will ALWAYS be "it" for me.

It definitely started with AI. When I saw him audition. My friend, Amy and I cried when he got voted off. It was like seeing a family member get booted. The addiction has only gotton worse since this time, however. Now, since the VIP in Indy and my upcoming VIP in Milwaukee, I can't stop thinking about them!

AND I JUST COULD NOT KEEP MY EYES OFF THAT BEAUTIFUL BALD SEXY HEAD, SO TO ME HE WAS DIFFERENT THAN ANY ONE ELSE THAT I HAD SEEN BEFORE ON AL, AND NOW AND HAVE BEEN HOOKED EVERY SINCE AND WILL CONTINUE TO BE A DIE-HARD FAN!!!!!

I saw Chris on MTV ! Was sitting on my PC behind me MTV on TV! Suddenly the song It´s not over plays .... Wooooooooooo .. what kind of musik was in my room.. never hear before! I turn around and saw him! OMG only this few worlds came over my lips... was faszinated from the deepest place in my heart! Such a musik... such a personality...such freeze on my skin! Till now

when I watched him perform on AI. Although am not a AI fan, (my sister is crazy about it) I watched one episode and saw Chris perform and I thought to myself WHAT- this guy should win! Kinda like I felt for Bo Bice on season 4. I hoped that Chris would win but I was secretly relieved that he didn't actually win coz then there's less pressure and more space to develop one's style - I didn't want him to end up washed out like a few previous winners, but still I knew from that moment that we would be hearing from him for a long time to come coz there was this fire in his eyes that showed a deep passion to succeed in music. Anyways, I'm glad I was proved right and he has been breakin records on the way up. The first single I listened to was Home and glad to say I got hooked!

It's good to be alive!

When I saw Chris on AI. I instantly fell in love and wanted him to win. When he didnt, I was upset. BUT, Look how successful he is now! And.. winning would have pushed him into a pop category and he wouldnt be as independent and such..he'd be a solo act.

Then, after Idol, I heard "Its Not Over" on the radio.. always missed who it was by or what the name was... I had to guess and ask around "Who sings that 'this love is killin me, but you're the only one' song?" hahah.. I remember IMing my friend to ask...

Then my mom told me she had ordered Daughtry tickets for the 8/12 show in Springfield for us.. knowing how much I loved him on Idol. I never gave a thought to want to see them in concert, which I had my opportunity when they played with Staind and Nickelback last summer which I missed. So I got started a little late, but its better than never starting at all.

I got chills when Daughtry took the stage last summer. Not to mention, 12 stones opened and they were awesome! But all in all, minus the 109 degree weather which i had a heatstroke in..which was worth it.. the concert was amazing and I knew I was definitely a Daughtry fan FOR LIFE.

Now I'm going on my 4th show. Not much, but I got started 8/12 of last year, and I live in the middle of nowhere. They dont come around these parts much!

I saw the album out on ITunes and decided to listen to it, liked what I heard and downloaded some of the songs. Then later went out and saw the CD at the store and bought it, I realized I liked a LOT of the songs, so I went back and downloaded the whole album from ITunes then googled Daughtry and quite a bit of idol stuff came up then saw DO and came here........ and I sota never left!!!

Ok here is a short version of how I became an obsessive Daughtry Fan.

Seeing as though I don't have a tv I never new about chris at all, until I heard Home on the radio and got overwelmed by emotion from song. So of course I got onto itunes and on a whim bought the entire album (normally I would lazily only buy whats popular). And now I am a complete addict to Daughtry, listening to his album 3 times a day, every day and going through every single interview, AI performance, and Daughtry concert I could get my greedy hands on. You know they are amazing if they can transform a very casual music listener to a complete Freak for Daughtry.

Like many, I attached myself to him when he performed on AI. I blew up the phones and was shocked and angry when he was eliminated. This could of been a blessing for him, look where he is now. He has really made a name for himself with his beautiful lyrics and powerful voice. I saw Daughtry's band in Orlando at Mardi Gras, Universal Studios. I was packed like sardines. It was all worth it though. I just got tickets for the Tampa show with Bon Jovi in April, CAN'T WAIT !!. He is a special person as all of the band members are with talent and personality that make us all gravitate to them. I will be a Daughtry fan forever !!

from the very beginning. I was drawn to Chris with the commercial that played before Season 5 of Chris singing at his audition. I was like OMG who is this guy, he is awesome!! So I couldn't wait to see him and see if he made it. Then all the clips with him and his family and Deanna was just so supportive and cute, I just loved everytihng about him during AI. I was also so proud everytime he got up and sang, I couldn't wait to boast about him at work or to my brothers who also watch AI. As soon as I heard the CD and began learning more about all of the guys, I fell in love with Daughtry, the band. All of the stories I hear about people meeting them and seeing them on interviews and seeing how awesome they are to the fans and how loyal they are to their families, OMG what is NOT to love?!

Proud to be a fan and will be until I die!!

When I first saw Chris on Idol I became a fan and fell in love with his amazing voice. After Idol and the cd release I was wondering about a tour so I jumped online and searched and that's when I found this site. I realized that the guys were coming to Louisville, KY so I was dead set on going. I was so upset when I tried to get tickets and they sold out so quick. I wasn't about to give up! I got on ebay and got lucky! I purchased two tickets. I met Chris and J.P. at that show and it was awesome!! From then I was a Die-Hard crazy hardcore DAUGHTRY fan! I wanted to go to another show soooo bad so I entered for VIP. I didn't care how far I had to travel to see them again. I was in major shock when I received an email from RCA Karen saying I was the winner for the show in Atlanta. Road trip!!! That was my second show and I've been to three more since. #6-Daughtry/Bon Jovi! Woo Hooo!

I liked him since the start , he was so cute but when i heard his voice i have fallen for him ... he is so cute and i'm still mad that he took the 4th place i was so sad i cried all day ..

I became a fan of Chris, the moment I heard his voice on AI. Of coarse his looks are what caught my eyes first off. Then when he did his audition, it was instant.
The moment I knew I loved the group Daughtry was when I was sitting in the waiting room of a Hamilton hospital waiting for my father to awaken from a coma.
The soothing sounds of these talented artists softly playing over the little speaker in the waiting room brought me so much peace during a difficult time.

Love you guys! Rocked with Daughtry 12-8-2007 in Reading, PA and soon in Philly 3-2-2008. Wish I could say I was at more concerts.

I knew he was from season 5 of AI and loved him .But i would have to say when I heard Home on AI season 6 as the goodbye song. From that moment on I have loved Daughtry.

I was so shocked when he got voted off american idol... i was like in depression. Then when i heard that he had a cd coming out i was there the first day it came out to buy it!!!

As we did not get to see AI here in Germany (got our own talent shows, but the outcome is nothing compared to Chris Daughtry & Kelly Clarkston) I just found out about the magic of Daughtry's music on my way home from work. My fav. radio station YOU FM played "INO" right after Nickelback.
I was caught! Arriving home I switched on my computer and googled Daughtry. Finding DO site I kept listening for ages and every single day to their videos & blogs before I decided to actually be part of DO.
Awesome to read through all the post and interesting where AI is aired around the globe.
