Just wanted to say that it was great to see Daughtry in concert again. Can't wait till they are the main attraction again. Sad to say the sound was pretty bad, but I've seen you guys before and I know you rock. I thought it was really odd that no one was introduced? What's up with that? Especially the opeing act. Whatever. I was pretty upset by the empty seats for daughtry as well. Their loss I guess! It was a blast my friends and I had the best time ever so excited to hear your coming back already in August for the HD Anniversary. I just want to say that seeing daughtry and bon jovi in one night was the best damn thing ever. See ya soon.

Well I finally got tickets at the last minute, risky but paid off to wait. I had awesome seats. I hope you guys could feel the support I was sending out. I think you guys did great I was on Steely's side which was great to be able to see him so well along with Chris and Joey. I could see Brian and J.P. o.k.. Yes, I do wish you guys could have moved around more but that doesn't change the music only how well I could see everyone. Looking forward to the time when I can watch you for two and a half hours. Until then I will be there as often as I can if only for 45 minutes;) ROCK ON!!!!!!

So me and my friend spend $340 on two tickets for the floor seats in the second section. I was a bit disappointed but yet at the same time it is hard to be disappointed when its DAUGHTRY!. I was just so excited that I got to see them again. It was a little weird being so far back since at Summerfest we were in the front row. Can't wait till we are there again. Well anyway, like many of you said the sound was really bad. I could barely hear Chris. I hear alot of the drums more than anything. Still worth the $340. I took a bucket load of pictures. Some which didn't turn out. I purchased 2 shirts, beanie, and the buttons. We wore our DAUGHTRY shirts from Summerfest. We felt like the only ones who came to support DAUGHTRY but then we started to talk to a couple of people who really didn't care about Bon Jovi. The little group around us were signing really loud. The people behind us must have thought we were crazy. Well anyway after Chris was done, we went out to the vending area again so my friend could buy another shirt and we came back during Bon Jovi's first song. We finished that song and listen to his next one. Don't get me wrong, I like Bon Jovi's music..but we were there to see him. So we decided to leave. We gave our tickets to some girls who were standing outside and went to the Casio. I love that Bon Jovi has given Chris this opportunity but I can't wait to see him as the headline again. I think that its just such a better show. I loved the new song and I can't wait until the new album comes out. I think my CD player might be happy to get a different CD too. DAUGHTRY has been in it pretty much since I got the CD.

Overall, I would have done it exactly the same way again. I just love DAUGHTRY.

(DAUGHTRY rocks and Pink Floyd sucks....inside joke)

:)

Its Great to hear all of your reviews! --Thanks--
Glad to hear you all had a great time!

Chris didn't give me the impression that this song would be sung at every concert just a "special occassion" thing and your right jbjdaughtry Greensboro would be that special place, but it is up to Jon to make that decision because it's a BJ tour. Makes sense to me.

--

~~in these ever changing days your the one thing that remains~~

I have heard rumors....and they are only rumors keep in mind...but he is supposed to at least get to sing Wanted with Jon in Greensboro since it is his home show. I am a member of the Bon Jovi fanclub and it has been an "issue" to say the least over there about Chris singing Wanted. I for one think it would be great to see Chris sing with Jon but a lot of the BJ fanclub members are in an uproar about it. It's about half and half for and against. Some of them feel it is one of their iconic anthems and should not be sung by anyone other than Jon. Don't let that upset you guys though, some of them get upset when Richie sings so it's not anything against Chris. They just want the songs the way they were written and sung by who supposed to sing them. They even got all crazy when Jon decided to redo some of the songs a few years ago in a new way to re-invent the songs to be fresh and different. They HATED it over there. I for one really liked it because it turned some of the songs into a whole new meaning but oh well.
SO to answer your question...probably WILL happen in Greensboro but I seriously doubt it will be a standard at every show but you never say never with with Jon. If he is in the right mood, and I have seen it, he says to hell with the setlist and it is on from there!

thats awesome how great your seats were!!! can't wait to see pictures!

Wanted to do a review sooner but the computer has been down since Thursday night. So here is goes. I could have not been more excited for this show. This being only my second Daughtry show. I was alittle nervous on Thursday since the reviews from the night before saying that Chris was sick. I was having major flashbacks to the Kenosha show that got cancelled. I just kept saying to myself, "this is not going to happen again." Well anticipation grew all day and when it came time to get to my seat I was just so excited. It was a bummer to see so many open seats right before Daughtry went on. As soon as they started, which by the way I can't believe that they weren't even introduced, but neither was Bon Jovi, I just started screaming. And same thing in my section Gottaluvem, people were just sitting there and I felt I could hear myself screaming which was kinda scary. I then moved up to the front row of the 200 sections. I had pretty good seats too but I thought I would try and get closer. It worked for awhile and this guy came and stood right next to me but on the floor and he had a tag on, so I asked him if he was with the Bradley Center or the band and he replied, "the band". I then asked him if he could take me with him and he simply replied, "No, I can't". I thought it was worth a try. I too had a hard time hearing the words to the first song. I had the same experience at Summerfest with Daughtry. The music was way too loud and Chris got drowned out. But I was snapping pictures like crazy and singing and dancing. After a few songs I got busted and told to go back to my seat. I said that no one was sitting here but she told me to get lost. I didn't go all the way back to my seat and got to stay there for the rest of Daughtry. After they got done I got busted again by a guy this time and he said get back to your seat and that he let me stay there for the opening act. I replied with, "that was all I wanted". I then went back to my seat. It felt really weird having Daughtry be the opening act. I was left wanting more after only 45 minutes and it just didn't seem right that they weren't given enough recognition. All in all, of course it was great to see them in any type of capacity and I too can't wait for them to come back to Wisconsin in August and headline where they belong. I bought a t-shirt for the small fortune of $45 but I just couldn't resist. Bon Jovi was great as they should be with all of their many years of experience. But I was alittle depressed in the beginning of the show because I still wanted Daughtry to be out there. I told myself to get over it and have fun, which I did. It is funny because Bon Jovi really makes you feel how old you are with some of there older stuff. I kept thinking about Junior high. Great night to be out and be at a concert. Looking forward to seeing Daughtry again and hope that they have more shows this summer. By the way I got pulled over on my way home only 1/2 mile from my house. I had to go to the bathroom soo bad since I didn't get the chance before I left the Bradley Center. When the cop came up to the car he told me that I was speeding and I said, "i'm sorry, but I really gotta pee". He asked me where I was coming from and I said a concert. He said, "Bon Jovi?" and I said YES. He asked how it was and I said, "Awesome". He took my license and then came back and said, "Ashley just slow down". Got away from that one, thank goodness!!!

kfdberry - maybe next time we will get to see eachother. How many times did we try and call eachother when we were only 1 section away? Wish I could have looked for the bus with you. Look out Harley Fest, the Daughtry fans are coming.

Love hearing about everyones concert experiences! Keep em coming, I have another month to wait !
P.S. kdfberry, loved the end of your review ! I was cracking up ! (oh yeah, Bon Jovi was there too Smiling

rocked out w/Daughtry on 11-15-2007 in Cape Girardeau, MO

I've noticed the same thing before with Chris. At Tiger Jam, the sound was really loud and couldn't hear CHris but at the Prudential Center in Jersey, he sounded great. Not sure what's up...

I liked your review of the concert, even though I wasn't there; I'm curious how the first concerts are going.
Nah, you aren't too old; I feel the same, and I've read that a lot of other fans feel the same way, about not hearing Chris' voice over the instruments. I thought that the very first time I saw DAUGHTRY back in Oct. of '07, in Clearwater.
It seems that his mic is turned down and the instruments are turned way up. I know some of the guys have earphones to hear the music or at least the beat, but it seems that Chris' is killing his voice, and, I understand he is sick.
This happened on the tour last year, also.
I wonder who a person has to write to for someone to get a clue and correct this issue.......

I think I went into the night being overally excited about winning the meet & greet and that was the only thing I cared about! I guess having 2nd row center seats helped things too Laughing out loud So anyway, I don't have much time but I wanted to say that the show itself was good. I, like everyone else, wished they would've played longer and I too had issues hearing Chris during some of the songs and I was 2nd row! There were sounf guys running around up front so there could have been technical issues but I think it was just loud overal because of the size of the venue. Anyway, the new song is excellent and I can't wait to hear a crisp, clean, produced version soon! Of course meeting the guys made my night/year but I was kind of sad that we were so rushed. There were 20+ people there for the meet & greet and my friend and I were first in line, we got escorted into a room, got to say HI and give a few hugs, some guy took our picture and then we got kicked out. Not the ideal experience but I was stll super excited to have the opportunity and I had a smile on for the rest of the night! Bon Jovi was great as usual, they never dissapoint, but in all honesty I was there more for Daughtry. I should be able to post some pictures soon, just need to finish recovering from a great night! I hope all of you who get to see him on this tour don't get too upset or dissapointed at the short set or sound issues, it's a learning process and it will only mean bigger and better things for the guys when they're the ones headling big venues! That day will come, I have no doubt and I will be first in line for tickets to support them. Thank you to RCA and DaughtryOfficial.com for selecting me as a VIP, you made my year! Daughtry forever Smiling

The concert last night was great!!! I love you guys and I hope that you could feel the love for you! I think you did. We had really good seats - so that was great! I guess I didn't notice the thing about not being able to hear Chris. I was in my own little Daughtry world!

I guess we need to realize that the majority of these people are Bon Jovi fans. If they didn't pay attention and realize that these guys are so awesome - it is their own fault. It's hard, but I am sure that the guys know how much we love them and hopefully saw their fans rocking out! I thought we were pretty loud for them! I am sure the ones who listened and watched are out buying their Daughtry CD's.

The new song is awesome! Can't wait for the new CD - also can't wait until they are doing their own concerts again, but I am willing to see the boys any way I can! Those 45 minutes were great and I cherish any chance I get to see Daughtry.

I did get some pictures, but my camera is kinda funny at things like this. I had to turn on night vision and then some of them got blurry. I will post some as soon as I have a chance to check them out. I also have a couple of very short videos - didn't want to watch too much through my camera!

Oh yeah - Bon Jovi was there too Smiling

Saw you guys last night with Bon Jovi. I could tell Chris was having a hard time hitting the notes. When you're sick, you're sick. S**t happens right?! You still sounded great to me, and as always you looked adorable, as did all of the guys. Loved the outfit Joey!! I hope you feel better soon Chris. Love ya!

I was so excited also to see Daughtry again Live in concert. Unfortunately having seen him two times before and being in smaller venues we tend to be very spoiled. So being in the nosebleeds was very hard for me this time! lol I thought the sound was way off, because we had a hard time hearing the vocals. I had chalked it up to being in the upper level, but maybe it wasn't just me. I felt also that if I didn't know every single word it would of been hard to follow along. The new song I couldn't even understand any words. It was also hard because everyone around us had no clue who was on stage and were not even listening! Nobody was standing (even for Bon Jovi) around us so that made it even harder! Then when it was the crowds turn to sing......who was the only one belting out the words... ME! That made me feel stupid too! I wanted to scream...people this is Daughtry come on!!! Could you at least clap for them after they sing???

I guess I missed them being the headlliner, with their stage and their lights. Don't get me wrong, It is an awesome experiance for them to open for Bon Jovi but it is just didn't seem like the same show that they put on when they are the main band. I still had one hell of a time screaming my lungs out for them! I love you guys so much!!!!!

But all in all we had a great time, loved seeing them again and LOVED seeing Joey in his kilt!

Bring on the Harley Davidson fest in August!!!!!!!!

For ya'll that are anxious for the new song - saw some kind souls posted the new song on Youtube!!!!! (From the Detroit show!) One has the complete song but the audio is a little rough (not bad though) and the other is a shorter clip with better audio. That made my day to hear "You Don't Belong" again. Really an awesome song that I hope makes the cut on the new CD, but honestly - if it doesn't that just means the songs that do are going to be THAT much better? Can you imagine? These guys so rock! AWESOME!

I of course again didn't bring a camera since I figured I'd have to walk it back to the car (which I didn't want to do in the freezie cold!) I did try to take pix with my cell phone but being in the nosebleeds they all look like little ants from way up there! (actually can't even tell what is in my pix). I would LOVE it if someone who got closer pix could send a few my way. I'd appreciate it more than I could express in words. Just love these guys to death! So, wishing that Soundstage concert was available on blu-ray DVD! Could re-live a Daughtry concert any time I wanted to then! Ahhh, a girl can dream!

Okay, well, I have 4 hours of sleep under my belt and I am flying high! Seeing Daughtry live again was super sweet. Sad that Chris is fighting a cold again - but you couldn't tell much - he still sounds awesome. I agree with the other posts about it being loud and that Chris doesn't get a chance to have his voice shine as much as we'd like but it was still rockin'. The new song "You don't belong" started it out. Was a good starter, but I wish I could have understood the lyrics. Just so darn loud (maybe I am just too old for this stuff!). Chris if you're reading this - it would be awesome if you (or someone else) could post the lyrics to the song so we could sing along to it or at least know what you're singing on that one! I felt like I missed some of the show being that we actually sat in the wrong seats and had to move mid-Daughtry which I was none to happy about, but our fault - wrong section/right row & seats just one section over. They were on stage for about 40 - 45 minutes. I really enjoyed "What about now" - Chris' voice shone brightly on that one! Love it! The boys were rockin' Love watchin' JP and Brian having such a great time up there on that stage. Steely doin' his thing - Mr. Cool. Joey shirt off)on drums just gets better every time I see them! (this was the 4th). Love hearin' the boys doing some of the background vocals these days. Awesome! Chris, I appreciate how you always speak to the crowd and seem genuinely humble. Always getting us involved in the songs is great. I wish there weren't so many "duds" around us who were sitting the whole time for Daughtry and were asking me to sit down. I wanted to stand the whole time and show my love and rock out! I missed "There and Back Again" as the finale song for the boys, but honestly they still sang quite a few songs. (don't know the set list but it seemed they did almost all - minus 3 maybe - but we were treated to new material!) BTW, the new tour shirts for Daughtry are AWESOME! I wished the black and red one came in a larger size but those are some sweet t's! ($40 a pop though) The hoodie looked cool too but I couldn't part with $100 for that.

Now, as for Bon Jovi. I liked them back in high school but kinda lost interest after that. So, they sang quite a few songs I didn't know. They still put on quite an extensive show. Really tried to entertain the crowd, get them up and involved in the songs, moved around a lot. Shook a lot of hands, danced around a lot (which I found really quite cheezy and kinda dorky but what do I know?). Us raising our hands was fun for a bit and got us involved but after awhile it seemed very overdone. I thought it was impressive with the little side stage deal where Jon was in the crowd and shaking hands - the fans ate that up. Can tell he appreciates his fans and that stood out to me. I enjoyed the show but it didn't excite me like Daughtry does! Did like that "got it going on" song quite a bit. Always like their big hits, but honestly was a bit turned off during "Bad Medicine" with the big screens having the scantily clad chicks dancing around. The dudes probably loved that but I saw kids in the audience who I didn't think it appropriate for. Anyway...awesome job Daughtry - you guys still rock it better than anyone around! Can't wait to see you guys headline again but I'll take every morsel of Daughtry I can get! : ) Keep rockin'!

Just wanted to let you know that I've always felt the same way about not being able to hear Chris over the instruments. Your comment "So please work on that mix so we can hear your awsome voice over the band."
I've seen the guys perform 3 times, and if I didn't know the words from listening to the CD over and over again, I'd never know what Chris was singing:-(
My concern was mostly for his voice and the damage he may be doing to it by "yelling-singing" over the instruments.
I've always said, turn up his mic volume and turn down the instruments volume.
Back in the day (sorry) the instruments were for background and the singer, foreground!!

First I want to say I love your music. No other CD has been in my player since yours came out. I can sing right along when I can hear you. But last night for most of the show I couldn't. This was my second concert of yours. You sounded better at SummerFest last year. So please work on that mix so we can hear your awsome voice over the band. I don't even own a Bon Jovi CD but they rocked it out. The people around me and my guy were really starting to tick me off. I'm sure most of them were there just to see Bon Jovi and we were sitting there all proud as punch with our DAUGHTRY shirts on. I will be back, make us proud out there on the road. Keep on rocking.
