York...to bring kids or not to bring kids

Hi all -
my wife and I have tickets for this saturdays show. initially, our thinking was the kids are too small to bring to a daughtry concert but now that the time has come we're considering picking up a pair of tickets so they can come with us.

our kids are 5 & 3 and we know would love to see daughtry live. any thoughts on if the show and atmosphere will be inappropriate for kids their age?

while we understand there are no guarantees and it just takes one person to ruin it, we're looking for some general feedback about what to expect. our only daughtry show was when he opened for Bon Jovi in Pittsburgh this past March. on top of that, we've never been to the york fair.

thank you very much for any thoughts, tips, suggestions, etc.

the only thing I might worry about is it being very loud. But it's an outside show so it should be OK. My daughter was 11 when I took her to the show and she wanted to wear earplugs. I know sometimes kids don't like very loud noises so knowing your kids you'll know if that will bother them. You also might see how late it will go, if they're good late at night. Otherwise I think they'll enjoy it.

Rocked out with Daughtry 5/1/08
Many more to come!!!

We took our kids to the show at Six Flags - New England in May of 2007, and they loved it!
They LOVE all the DAUGHTRY songs to begin with, and know them all by heart - so it was so much fun for them!
And at these fairs (and at all Daughtry shows) the atmosphere is great...and very family friendly.
My kids were 2 1/2 and 5 1/2 when they came to that Daughtry show with us.
Have a great time!

"There & Back Again" for DAUGHTRY so many times, I've lost count, but I do know it's never enough!
DAUGHTRY concerts = pure JOY!!!!!

Thank you much -
Yeah we'll have to see how it plays out, but I feel better with the feedback received. Can't tell you how excited I am to go...now bringing the kids raises the level 10 fold. They are going to flip out when we tell them Smiling

I brought my three girls to Allentown..11, 7, and 4, and they had a great time! If you get the opportunity to hang around after the show by the buses, you might just meet some of the guys....my girls got to meet JP, and he was absolutely adorable with them. Daughtry fans are the best people!
I don't know how the other venues will be, but the guys are great on stage...you don't have to worry about any foul language or anything like that..the guys are so respectful!
Enjoy!

~Have you made a choice to hear your voice..or hold onto what they said??~

depending on where your seats are and how rowdy some people get, you should be fine. I never heard of anything bad happening at the 4 Daughtry concerts I have now been to except for angry fans in the front couple rows arguing over something stupid.

Plus, they can have fun at the fair and enjoy that atmosphere as well.

HAVE FUN!!!

Hi there! When I attended last year, there were alot of kids. Generally though, they appeared to be around 8 or older, but I didn't see or hear anything that I thought was objectionable in the least (and I have young children so I completely understand your concern). The only thing I saw was everyone having a GREAT time. Nothing objectionable that I remember. Hope this helps and have a blast. They were so AWESOME last year!!
