Why we all acts like dorks when we meet some famous?

I remember I met an european band called Get Ready, they were a boy band, I didn't like them or their music just went to meet them to make a favor to a friend but when I was in front of them I couldn't say a word! I just showed them my photo camera and they understood I wanted a pic!
After met them a girl who was in the meeting gave me a poster of the band and I said "thank you" and she said I'm argentinian so you can speak in spanish! I felt like an idiot!!
I was very nervous and didn't know the names of the guys from the band so I can't imagine how I'd act in front of Chris, Joey, JP, Steely and Brian!!!

So Cat, I think if I go there to attend a concert with you, who will act like don't know me were you! lol

I'm also somebody who has NEVER gotten to meet the guys! But I have a lot of faith that all will possibly change when they tour again...that'd be my DREAM come true...I'd love for them to do the VIP thing again so we all can have our chance!

Well, I'm another person who has not only never met Chris or any of the guys, but never seen them perform 'live' either!!!!

Still love them and their music though.

Would love so much to see them perform on stage in front of me though!
And meeting them would be a real bonus - just to shake hands with Chris and get a smile would be something!!!!!

And yes Airlie - meeting them for 22 seconds does count - you met them face to face and are sooo lucky!!!!

You guys crack me up with your dorky stories. I get all giggly and gitty around them too. They would never know I am a normal girl and If I met Chris he would think I am seriously wack I'm sure! hahaha

Jodster- I could see myself doing that too . haha. But that is too cute and funny! :0)

I met this other band, Art Of Dying. The singer Jonny is a total babe to die for and I said " hi , I'm Cat from Myspace. And Jonny says Oh hi and I give him a hug.... and then make a squealy noise. I'm thinking damn , did I just squeal with my outside voice! LOL . Then the guitarist , Greg, walks up and I say Hi, I'm Cat from myspace and he says oh hi and then the Drummer (Jeff) and I say , Hi Cat from myspace....And then Jonny says "Her last name really isn't myspace. LMAO!! What a dork I am! LOL

But then the second time I met them , I got to tease Jonny. I gave him some pictures I printed of him and he meant to say ..."Can you hold on to them for me for awhile?" but instead he said ..."Can you hold me for awhile." LOL , We all cracked up and I threw my arms around him and hugged him so tight and said " OMG! You bet!! Squeal!! " Oh wait ...that wasn't my inside voice and am I really clinging to him like a blood sucking leetch he couldnt pry off if he wanted to? Damn it! He screws up his words and I some how come out looking like the love struck dorky fan again! LOL

I haven't been an Art of Dying fan for very long and I met them pretty quickly after listening to their tunes...and look how I acted! Meeting CHRIS ....who I have been drooling and gushing over since AI and who I adore with every fiber of my rocker girl heart, soul ..hell , entire being?? I'm sooo doomed... and totally terrifed of meeting him...Eeekkk!!! haha!

Gisela - I sure hope you get to meet them too. Maybe you have to come here and go to a show with us..although you might want to act like you don't know me. LOL :0)

Fresca: the same thing happened to me - sort of- talk about dorky- I walked around the curtain and saw Jp, Chris, Brian, Steely and Joey staring at me, so I just stopped and stood there.- until security said to me:"well, go ahead!!!!!" So, I don't know what came over me but I started doing this little skip/ hop thing over to Chris- and he started doing the same thing towards me!!!!- like mimicking me(butin a good way!) it was kinda funny!!! And I also agree with Airlie- I don't even remember saying bye to the guys!!! I'd do it all over again though- it was worth it .

And I don't think I'll get the chance to meet Chris and the guys. At least they come here

If they'd like to come to the south they''ll find a huge desperate fan wanting to meet Daughtry!!! lol

Come on Chris!! Argentina is a beautiful place, you'll love it!!!

Cat! That pic of you and Joey is wonderful I'd like to have one like that...If I met Joey I think I won't complain for not meeting Big Sexy.... no, wait! I'm lying to myself! He is the main reason why I love Daughtry!!!

I walked into the VIP and was waving both my hands hello at them and saying 'Hiiiiiiiiii" in the longest screechiest voice imaginable, and I didn't even know I was doing it until I realized Chris was doing it right back to me, wide eyed, mimicking my girly voice and all. It was great though, I loved it - I'm glad he did- it was funny.

And I totally agree with Airlee - it wasn't an actual meeting, there were no introductions, I didn't say anything really, and I hardly remember it. So thank goodness I have the picture that lets me know it actally happened.

So to JPsJellybean, I hope you get the opportunity next time around to meet Chris. It's something every true fan should experience.

There was no regular conversation, nothing to really "sink your teeth into" in getting to know a person a bit better other than watching him/them on stage.

Lets say I was in the presence of Chris (and Joey, JP, Steely and Brian), but didn't really meet Chris (et al), as we all wish we could.
