NEW AND IMPORTANT SNL NEWS!!
Hi everyone! Hope everyone is doing well. I just recieved a few PMs from Ed and this is the deal-there are certain rules that MUST be followed when e-mailing or writing into SNL. Ed was very helpful with this,so we should respect and follow his advise. Thanks Ed again!THIS IS A MUST AND MOST IMPORTANT!!!-DO NOT mention RCA or anyone from RCA in ANY way! I can't stress enough how important this is! This can cause problems for RCA and for the band, and their chances in getting on the show. You can mention that you are a Daughtry fan, and our wish to have them on the show. We should not pester SNL too much either. If you already have e-mailed or written in to the show-thats great! One message per devoted fan will be plenty. We can all send another e-mail or letter when the new CD comes out but bothering them at SNL will only cause problems for RCA when they need to do their job. Ed and the others from RCA have been kind in helping and involving us fans with info and etc...,I feel we should do the same for them by following these rules. I hope everyone will not feel like I'm trying to be bossy, but I'm relaying these very important messages from the ones who know how to do this the right way. we know the members of Daughtry are "big boys", they know what's going on (and we don't), and I trust their decisions they make for themselves; we all learn from our choices and experiences, good or bad, right? I hope they feel good about 'us' if and when they visit here!

Hey gang, how's it going?
As Deanna mentioned in this post about our recent PMs, we are simply not pitching Daughtry for an SNL appearance right now because the strategic timing isn't ideal.
For starters, the band is in the studio working on that album we're all waiting for, and wouldn't interrupt their creative groove even if we DID ask them to be on SNL.
Aand secondly, as those of you who watch SNL regularly know all too well, they don't invite the same artist back every other week, never mind every other season.
So we would rather entertain such an opportunity when there's a new record in stores, than at this time - simple as that.
Having said that, we can't thank you enough for your requests to SNL for Daughtry to appear. Just please keep in mind that no amount of email terrorism will do the trick, in fact it would only hurt the band - as Deanna also relayed from our chat.
So leave it to us and, come next year; I promise you that will be talking to our contacts at SNL about getting Daughtry on the show.
Let us know if you have any questions and we'll do our best to address them, and thanks as always for your passion for Daughtry.

I would not want to do anything that would jeopardise RCA or Daughtry with SNL so I want to thank you so much for being kind and respectful to us by giving us these guidelines when we take action. I don't think your bossy at all so don't think that. You rock as always!!

does not shock me at all. Pestering SNL probably is not a good idea. I know I can't stand being pestered. LOL
Thanks for the info. It would be cool to see them perform on SNL and I admit I think seeing at least Chris (all would be better of course) in a skit would kill me! LOL.

I had sent out a few emails to NBC, re - SNL and had NOT mentioned RCA at all. Now that I know one email is sufficient, I'm good until the next CD comes out!!!
