This is the first time I have been to this thread and I read what you wrote and that pretty much sums up all the emotions I went through watching and listening to the Deluxe for the 1st time...

WOW !
I bought the "Deluxe" cd, due to the fact that my original now has Chris' autograph on it, and is priceless to me. I have friends that still do not know who Daughtry is (I can't even imagine this) but I could never let them borrow my signed cd, so this second one was kind of intended to share with friends and family - however I know I cannot part with it for very long. I love the added songs !!

I finally watched the dvd the other day (I'm home recovering from surgery) and it was unbelieveable !! I cried and I laughed.
I think I cried because I miss them all so much, and feel like I kind of know them already (only met them once). But wow, it's so cool to see them in the videos, they are all so talented - and still SUCH great, kind men !!
I loved the interview too.
The whole thing is priceless!
You talented guys are dearly loved.
Please don't ever stop doing what you do best - BEING YOU !

The Deluxe edition wasn't released in my country but my wonderful friend Shanna sent it to me.
Of course I love the extra songs on the cd but what I love more is the dvd, specially the live performances, freaking awesome!!!!
I feel like I'm there, it's the closest I can be to a concert.
And the interview is hilarious.... LOVE THESE GUYS!

I'm spreading tnis message everywhere today - of how this DVD has made me feel, and I absolutely love being able to watch it.

Watched the DVD right through last night - in the dark on my own for the first time!!!
And what a roller-coaster it was - the videos from the start (and I'd forgotten about Brian not being on the first one even).
Then as Daughtry became bigger and bigger - and finally to 'What about now;' where Chris really has a chance to use his fame to say something that he feel strongly about!!! That was so emotional, had to keep re-watching it and it really got to me - the messages all through!!!!
But then what a contrast - the man with such feeling letting loose in those 'live' performances, and finally 'There and Back Again' which is so mind-blowing every time!!!!!
What an amazing ultimate experince being there would be!!!!!

I so admire Chris even more now - on top of all the other things I love about him and Daughtry - he turns out to be someone who like me actually cares about the world and the enviroment - and is wanting to do do something to make a difference!!!!
He's inspired even more desire in me - reminding me that one person can make a difference in their own way!!!!

GIRLS I AM BUYING THIS DELUX EDITION WHEN XMAS COMES AROUND FOR FAMILY AND FRIENDS BECAUSE I TURNED THEM INTO DAUGHTRY FANS AND THEY WILL LOV IT!!! I GOT MINE ALREADY AND STILL IS THE #1 CD I PLAY OVER AND OVER I JUST LOVE THEM AND NO OTHER BAND HAS TOOKEN THEIR PLACE YET AND NEVER WILL!!!! DIE-HARD TO THE END!!!

All I can say is the deluxe edition rocks!! I love their cover of Foreigner's "Feels like the 1st time" and the DVD is great! It was worth it to buy it again!!

I have a question!!!! Is "feels like the first time " going to be released as a single? I mean, it is just to awesome (obviously) to let fizzle out!!!! I mean, we DO' ers know about it- but what about the rest of the world???? It's just like the song "sorry"!!!! - just too good to remain a hidden gem!!!!!! my 2 kids LOVE it too and my daughter (age 6) loves to sing along with Chris at the very ending.
She goes around the house just singing that very last "TI-I-I-I-I-I-I-I- IIIII - IIIIME" part... and she's got it nailed perfectly too, LOL!
(Although she says to me..."I don't do it quite as well as Chris, but almost, Mommy!")
Isn't it so great to have a new song sung by our favorite singer in the universe?!?! It just makes me EVEN THAT MUCH MORE EXCITED for that next CD!!!!!

I think we will start getting the numbers tomorrow. This should be interesting since last week Daughtry sold around 7000 putting them at #80, I think. Hopefully the rerelease will bump it up for awhile. I know many of us will be babysitting the numbers starting tomorrow.

I try. No , but seriously, I didn't want to wait- just in case the first day's sales were being calculated- I got it right out of the box- they hadn't even put it out yet!!!! Speaking of sales, does anyone know what sales are up to including Daughtry Deluxe? I figure if they total them they should be up to around 7 times platinum by now!!!!!!!

I must agree about Feels Like the First Time. I love it, and I'm unfortunately also old enough to remember the original. My 11 year old daughter was singing along with me, she also knew the original song, I was really surprised. I guess she's heard it on the radio. What a great song for them to remake!!

I ended up taking down all of my stuff. I had my pictures up over my desk and I could tell it annoys him so I have it all tucked away in a drawer. Whatever - as long as I get my "girls night" every once in awhile when I get to go to a concert, I won't complain. However - speaking of water bottles.....I had a bottle and it was on my desk (ok I had two) and he THREW THEM AWAY! The man never ever cleans up and he was claiming he was just cleaning up. umm yeah, ok hon. I dug them out of the trash. LOL Anyone else got it that bad? hahahahahaha. Now they too are tucked away safely in my daughtry drawer. Noone is allowed in there.

Yes, the new Daughtry Deluxe is awesome!!!!Got mine yesterday- I had to walk to the mall (no worries only 20 minutes each way) because my car is in the shop(some guy slammed into me and I need 2 new doors)!!!!!But I did whatever I had to do to get my copy!!!I enjoyed the parts in the interview about making the videos- I knew there was some reason why Feels like tonight is my favorite video!!!!!! And yes, thank you Chris for thanking us and appreciating your fans so much- LOL!!!!!
Oh, and I also agree that Daughtry's version of Feels like the first time blows away the original!!!!!!(and I am old enough to remember the original!!!!!!)

I actually have a treadmill down in our basement and I have one small knee-wall next to it that I've filled with all my Daughtry stuff...ticket stubs, some photo's, a water bottle I caught from Chris, and now...posters.
By the way, that's good what you paid...I just looked at my reciept and I paid 16.88.
Oh well.
I don't mind my $$ going to my favorite band, hee hee!

Hearing Joey on there just completely melts me too. I wish there was more! More accoustic songs on it! I'll take them all. LOL

Oh - got mine at Walmart and it came with a mini poster but I don't use posters since hubby would be annoyed with Daughtry hanging on my wall. ha ha. I noticed it at Best Buy yesterday, on sale for $13.99 which is about 4 bucks less than I paid at Walmart. They had plenty of copies too. FYI for those who don't have it yet.

I went to 4 different places to find it. WalMart, Target, BestBuy, and finally a different Target had it. They had it with the original Daughtry CD. I don't know if they thought it WAS the original b/c I only paid $14.95 for it. It was not out in the New Release section.

Feels like the First Time is awesome. I'm going now to watch the DVD!
