Denna thanks for carrying the ball on this for me. Thanks to all of you for your help in trying to get my video's back up. I heard from Josh today. He told me it is a software problem not a people problem. He is working with YouTube to get my Daughtry troop tributes back up along with my other videos. He will keep me up to date and I will do the same.

I thought JOsh said they were going top get Bosphotoman's account flagged so he wouldn't get hammered like this, but they did it AGAIN! His Youtube account is suspended AGAIN because of a copywrite complaint from SONY/BMG. WTF Josh?

Thanks for all the support from all the DO people out here. I got a message from Josh and he is working on getting my videos back on YouTube. I enjoy working with Daughtry's songs and have been happy with the response my video's get. I especially enjoy hearing from the families of the troops, the "Home" video is very comforting to them

I thought as long as it wasn't concert footage, or music video's made by Sony, that the use of songs for peoples original works was ok. I understand that using songs without permission is not ok, but if Sony has a deal with YouTube, how is it a no no?

Surely there has been a simple misunderstanding here and Sony will correct it the issue.

theyre deleting fan-made videos that are made to inspire people! i think its pretty obvious that this is a good thing...free promotion for the guys!! not to mention it takes alot of hard work to make those

and theyre deleting concert videos of WAN...i dont get this either. again, its free promotion for daughtry and fans get to relive the concert and the great memories! my WAN concert video was removed, and so was my IWTL video. and that video had only ONE LINE from WAN in it.

its not like concert or fanmade videos are the official music video. i can understand if copies of those are deleted.

i personally dont think removing the videos helps anyone...the members of daughtry have even looked at some of those fan-made&concert videos on youtube and loved them. if they like the videos, the fans like the videos, and casual watchers like them, i dont see why they should be removed.

First of all, on behalf of everyone at Operation Home, THANK YOU to all the AWESOME Daughtry fans for helping to make this such a success.

Second, to the Powers That Be, "Why?" If someone can explain how these amatuer videos and concert clips are detrimental to the company or the band, maybe we would feel a little less "jilted." Many people seems to be in the same boat, but I personally feel just awful for Bosphotoman. Here he is, a Vietnam veteran. His generation of soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines were treated like garbage when they returned. They did not get any visible support from the homefront. So for him, participating in Operation Home and making his troop tribute videos allowed him to help make sure that this generation did not suffer the same fate. He has told me on more than one occasion that these projects are as therapeutic for him as they are uplifting for our military and their familes. Now his account at Youtube is either banned or suspended. Because he is a "repeat offender". Because last year RCA/SONY did a similar "sweep". Even though ultimately all his "Home" and other Daughtry videos were unblocked and allowed to stay. RCAKaren said at the time that Chris was upset and he LOVED Bos's videos.

Operation Home has 2 goals - first and foremost to show honor, respect and support for our men and women in uniform - without any political posturing, without taking any stance on the war. And secondly to share Daughtry's music with our heroes. I'm not trying to say "Nana-nana-naNA! Ain't we GREAT?" because it isn't "us" at Opeartion Home - we are just a conduit. But Daughtry fans have donated HUNDREDS of CD's for Opeartion Home to mail out. And Daughtry fans have sent countless copies on their own in care packages and iTunes "gifts" to our troops overseas and to wounded warriors in facilities like Walter Reed and Bethesda Naval Hospital.

If there is ANYTHING RCA/SONY can do to help get Bosphoman reinstated at Youtube, I hope it will be done. Perhaps in the future they will create some form of "approval process" where creative minds can submit their videos to the industry for some sort of official sanction? I can't believe free advertising is a BAD thing!

Thanks for your support and kind words. I do hope my videos can be put back on, There are many WAN fan videos out there, however for some reason they decided to remove mine. Because of my previous removal of Daughtry videos and RCA Karens reversal, I think I still had a black mark against me. That coupled with Sony BMG latest claim of infringment caused YouTube to permanently remove all off my videos. As a former Marine and Vietnam vet I want to show support to the troops and their families. I really appreciate all the kind words and support

I am disappointed. I speak often to teenagers about the great opportunities they have to change the world through community action. I planned to show them the WAN video on YouTube because it will go full screen. My intent was twofold - to get them to see that they CAN make a difference. And, of course, they would be exposed to this awesome video and this awesome band, inspiring some new Daughtry fans and CD buyers.

Please ask RCA to reconsider.

How on earth can a huge conglomerate feel threatened by fan made, not-for-profit videos? They cannot compare in quality to the professionally produced versions; somebody seeing a fan made version might just be impressed enough go out and buy the real thing.

Bosphotoman has been a longtime supporter of DAUGHTRY and his videos are in all probability responsible for sales of cds & mp3s that would otherwise not have been made. That aside, his videos are used on the ONE site ............ now they are no longer there. This is a charity that is wholeheartedly supported by the boys of DAUGHTRY .......... the very band whose videos you are having removed.

Thank you D for informing us ............. RCA, SONY, BMG, 19 Records and whomsoever else is involved ........... please straighten this out soon .............. ONE needs DAUGHTRY.

Confused...

How these videos infringe on copywrites is beyond me..No profit is being made. I'm sorry to see anyone's video's of WAN but most of all bosphotoman's..You Tube is a daily staple of mine and his videos are very creative & artistic..He is a vet who supports our troops & loves Daughtry..Whats not to like..As a mother with a son in the Air Guard & two daughters who have both seen two tours each in Iraq, I am especially disapointed in RCA/Sony's actions..Let us hope that this travisty ends soon and the videos are restored to You Tube!!! Please support this effort by posting..

Not sure what the problem is here guys but someone should look into this as soon as possible! There are lots of vids out there that use the WAN song as a background and IMO this only helps give promotion to the song..it's not bootleg concert stuff so I don't get it. he is doing nothing but shedding some light on an important issue in our country today. Please see what you can do to get them back up! Thank you

why is it that all of a sudden all the "What About Now" related videos are being pulled?
Besides bosphotoman's videos, most of us who had concert videos have been pulled, but only for WAN.
Let's face it, if you took all the videos off Youtube that had an artist's music on it, or were from a TV show, all you'd have left is some video of a cat flushing a toilet.

Youtube allows people to share their experiences and from the comments I've seen on concert videos, they have been a major promotional tool in getting new fans who then buy or download songs/CDs.

And videos such as bosphotoman's bring much comfort and inspiration to so many. The only money RCA/SONY or whoever is losing on this, is all the money they pay their legal team in wasting their time on this nonsense.

Bos's videos have done alot to aid in the awareness of Operation Home and Homefront. This project has done a great job of giving aid to the troops. It certainly has helped Daughtry's image as well. Please do something pronto!!!

On a side note, other fan videos are also being deleted .

I've always loved bosphotoman's videos.....he's always put so much effort into interpreting the songs!!! This is terrible!!! His videos have always aided in promotion of the band. I really hope this mess gets straightened out quickly!!! Thanks Deanna bringing it to our attention!
