FANTASTIC!
The show was just fantastic! The crowd was estatic and loving every minute! I have been having issues getting pics uploaded (site sooooooo sloooooooow) so I'm gonna just post a few here to share with ya'll!
Wow
That night..
AMAZING
Chris and his band...totally awesome.
Front row track seats. It could not have been better.
Minus the huge tall girl that tackled me to the ground for the drum stick and practically broke my knee.
But meeting Chris was defintatly like a dream come true. And all the rumors that were spread about him and his band being jerks about our stage and whatever.
I can tell just by the way he came out to autograph everything for everyone that it wasn't true.
AWESOME JOB GUYS!!!
:]
AWW Shucks!
Thanks for the blog...glad you are part of it all now.
Watch out...you sound like you are hooked, too!
Thanks to for the PM....very nice message.
Take care!

Becoming a Daughtry fan-janine65
Your posts encouraged me to join Daughtry's site and I have always felt that giving a compliment when it is due should be acted upon--just could not pass up the opportunity to let Daughtry know what an outstanding performance they turned in that night considering they were extremely far from home only the week before they gave us what we all needed--experiencing Daughtry LIVE!! Everyone has a story to tell about how they come to love a band/artist. For me it was seeing Chris on AI and saying, "Oh my goodness, he looks so much like my nephew!" Now, that made an instant, personal connection and isn't that what his music is all about??Each week he showed America he sings in any genre w/passion and you are hooked. He was real and passionate--that can't be faked. He was the only candidate I ever bothered to pick up the phone and vote for in the seven years I watched that show and when he was gone, I couldn't wait for his CD to come out. 2007 was a difficult year for me...I listened to that CD on the way to a job I disliked very, very much just to get myself to the front door. And, celebrated by cranking it up on the way home after each shift. People can relate to the lyrics and music Chris has poured himself into--you know you are listening to something beyond heartfelt when you are listening to the Daughtry CD.
An incredible accomplishment from such a talented young man. He deserves this time in his life to shine and I hope I can get to see him in person again soon.
It is so enjoyable to come on this website and literally feel the excitement coming off of the posts about the Daughtry experience...keep on posting--the honest words and awesome pictures...tried to get to the Meadville concert but both my husband and son are working that day. I'm really happy for everyone else who is getting to go whether it is your first or tenth show--rock out loud!!!You'll never have a better time!!
CLRFLCDAUGHTRY
I was there that night, too. We were in the 2nd row on the track off to the side, but I am so happy to hear that even up where you were the show was that awesome! These guys really gave us all a great time that night, and not sure if you read more of the reviews, but Chris came out after the show and signed every last autograph for people that stuck around. He is a class act! My daughter who is 7 is still talking about it,(she got her shirt signed and I got my CD signed) and I am longing for the next concert.
Your review was one of the best I've read. It gave me chills, especially the part about the crowd singing in unison. Those songs are so well written it's easy to fall in love with the lyrics. Chris' voice is like no other and I truthfully cannot name another singer I like as well...before Daughtry, I listened to a lot of U2, and other alternative and punk bands, and I will always have a soft spot in my heart for the Beatles, but Chris Daughtry''s voice is so appealing to me that he really could sing the phonebook as they say and it would be great! He is definately my favorite singer of all time...(sorry Paul and Bono).
I have been playing that CD nonstop in my car for well over a year ( or whenever it first came out..the car is my place to blast my music)...and I never get tired of it. No other CD stays in there for more than a few songs and we are back to Daughtry! Except for my 10 year old son..who won't admit he likes Daughtry, (he does, though),...we all love it...and my husband and I finally agree on music for a change!
I hope you get to attend more Daughtry concerts....if you do, keep posting your reviews...you really wrote a nice one!
Take care!

SIMPLY THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WOW!!! Can anyone believe how PHENOMENAL that night was!!! The show was CRAZY-GOOD...the awesome new songs, the awesome old songs, the outstanding covers ... every song!!! We couldn't have asked for a more BEAUTIFUL summer night!! And..... sooooo much energy, talent, and passion on that stage!!! (I'm getting chills again!!!)
Add all that to several hundred adoring fans ALL getting autographs and sharing words with Chris.....it was such an AMAZING experience!!!!!! How,how, how can this man be soooo sweet!!!!
THANK YOU CHRIS FOR BEING YOU!!!! It was UNBELIEVABLE meeting you!!!!!!!

What a birthday present...rockin with Daughtry!!
I have to thank Daughtry and my husband, who drove us over three hours to the Clearfield County Fair for a spectacular and memorable birthday present! I truly believe Chris took that now infamous shocked look on his face when he was elimanted from AI and turned it into the heart, soul and generous band we all enjoy so much. This home town southern man has touched his fans in the simplest of ways...a good, old county fair and appreciates his fan base.
In the 53 years I have been on the planet, I have attended many, many concerts. From our bleacher seats, we were able to see Daughtry take photos with many men, women and children wearing Meet and Greet badges on the side of their tour bus for about twenty minutes before the show. I have NEVER seen anything like that before. My husband, who doesn't impress much could not believe how everyone was singing all the songs and they knew ALL the words in unison. More importantly, this band sounds as good LIVE as they do on a perfectly mixed CD. That equals incredible talent we were all lucky enough to be a part of that evening. Chris did everything right to bring the audience into his world. ..getting us excited about being there with his banter, throwing out guitar picks to different parts of the crowd, getting everyone to take a picture at the same time, throwing out the open water bottles and drumstick. Only a very comfortable artist having a true connection to his audience would take himself out into the crowd the way he did for the finale and everyone went crazy!!!
The next time you are listening to your Daughtry CD, all the memories from that night will come back to you from a perfect evening that actually did shine...shine...shine.
Hey Autumn!!
I'm so glad you had a wonderful time. Your experience sounds so much like mine a couple of weeks ago. It was our third time to see them and the first time we were able to meet the guys. My husband is also a bigger fan of theirs now that he's met them. Now he's like, when's the next show! I had always heard about how great all of them are, but I was truely blown away by how Chris told us that he wasn't leaving until EVERYONE got their autograph or picture. Sorry you didn't get a pic with him.

TO CLFDRESIDENT..
Sorry to hear you didn't enjoy the concert and that you have never had a bad day or been unfriendly to someone.... we have all had days like that! The guys rocked Sat. night and put on an amazing show. I agree with Belinda25, they needed to wait for it to get dark so we could see the cool lighting. The late start should be blamed on the people at the fair. If they would of had an opening act scheduled...then it wouldn't have seemed like Daughtry "started late" . I wish I would have stayed for an autograph. Chris signed for everyone there, that does not sound "self centered" to me!

In Response to CLFD Resident
I'm not posting this to argue with you, but I feel compelled to tell you that if the band was late coming on there was a valid reason for the delay. I have been to 12 Daughtry concerts so far and the longest delay I've ever encountered was 20 min.....it was one time and due to factors out of the band's control. Other than that, starting times have been accurate. And to put things into perspective, there is a band (who I won't name) that has kept the audience waiting up to 2 hours...one concert I experienced personally. THAT'S what you call self-centered and egotistical. And their ticket prices were a great deal higher than $47. As far as Chris being self-centered and "not so nice" to the food people, I highly doubt it. Celebrities' reactions are so often misinterpreted....usually by someone who expects something exceptional and doesn't get it. Please get your information straight before you come here to slam a good guy on his fan site.
HEY NEWFOUNDRESPECT
I was right there with you that night with the crowd getting autographs and I was almost in tears to
see how dedicated Chris is for his fans. He was such a gentleman and took time for everyone. I hope he never changes, but the bigger celebrities get sometimes they have no choice. They may want go out and meet everyone but I'm sure sometimes security is a consideration. That may be why the VIP thing is getting so much more popular.
Loved your review and I hope you get to see them again soon. I was probably with you there in Pittsburgh in March, too...he played there 2 different weeks. We were at the last show. Pittsburgh is so big that, although we hung around looking for them, I knew he bolted after that show. He was scheduled to go to his hometown the next day, so I couldn't blame the guy for wanting to hurry back to see his family.
If you live in PA...he'll be in Meadville and York...we are going to York and I cannot wait!
Take care and welcome to the website!

Loved It!
I had a great time at this show & everyone's reviews are amazing! This was also my 6th concert & i think it was the best one yet! Some time off must have done great things for Chris because he sounded amazing!!! I was also one of the lucky people to get an autograph & spend a few seconds drooling over Chris. I gained a whole new respect for him... what an amazing man to spend hours after the show in order to give back to his fans. Which also brings me to the negative posts on this event thread. Did you all notice what an amazing show these guys put on? All of the lights they used helped to make the show what it was & do you think that it would have been as good without all the lighting effects? Probably not & I'm guessing that was the reason the show started 45 min. late. I think they were waiting for it to get dark in order to put on a good show... .& not only was it good... it was AMAZING!!! I think 45 min. was well worth the wait. I don't think someone so "self centered" would take the time with their fans after the show... There's always people out there trying to put others down... Instead of believing everything you hear, try to form your own opinions based on personal experience. I know that every experience I have had seeing & meeting this band has been great & these are some of the nicest guys I have ever come across. So, I can brush off the negativity... just upsetting that there's some people that are mad over trivial things.... same way it's upsetting that there was some lady with gigantic 80's hair making out with her boyfriend for 90% of the show in front of me that I constantly had to strain my neck to see around! HAHAHA!!!!
Anyway...... I loved the show & am so happy to see that most everyone else had the same experience as I did!! Looking forward to the Meadville show........
I have some pretty good pics that I'll try to get posted on here soon.

I loved your review. They are amazing guys, aren't they? Helter Skelter was my favorite too when I see them in DE! I have known you for quite some time on here and I am so glad that you FINALLY got to meet them because you're such a great person!

Seen Daughtry:
3/10/07 Bogarts
4/12/07 Amos' Southend
12/21/07 Greensboro Coliseum
3/16/08 Greensboro Coliseum - Won VIPs and met Daughtry
Already want to see Daughtry again
I would like to share my recent experience at a Daughtry concert at the Clearfield County Fair, in Clearfield PA. It wasn't the concert itself, because I knew that would be a rockin concert . (My Fiancee and I had seen Daughtry opening up for Bon Jovi in March, that concert was awesome.) We enjoyed it so much we wanted our friends and family to expeience that as well. So after the concert we were all outside the grandstands waiting for all 11 of us to "regroup", then from inside the grandstands we heard this loud eruption of screams. My 6 year old daughter stated she heard the screams from the rollercoaster, as someone else in the group stated the tour bus was leaving. So we walked back in to get one last peek. As we did, a young girl came running and screaming "I got Chris' autograph, he's over there singing". Without even thinking all of us, young and old, even one with a bum ankle started running, thinking he would only sign 4or 5. But let me tell you even after Chris just performed a kick ass concert, and had to travel to NJ, chris stayed outside and signed each and every last autograph. I thought that was soooo cool that he did that. Because, just 2 weeks ago I took my Fiancee to see WWE Summerslam at a local venue, we all waited outside just hoping to get an autograph of John Cena for our daughter. But, I guess they were all too big of "Superstars" to sign a measly little poster. Not one of them signed a thing, or even stopped to say "thank you". They are all too famous now... I hear it's the same way at the Pittsburgh Steelers training camp. Don't these "superstars" understand that their fans are the ones whom got them here, and are keeping them here, without us they would have nothing. But, obviously Chris Daughtry remembers this and for that we all respect him even more, and think now that he is even cooler than before. So thank you Chris we will forever hold that night 8/2/08 in our memories and hearts!! Keep Rockin! P.S. He's even hotter up close!
STICKING UP FOR OUR BOYS!!!!!
Obviously all the good comments about DAUGHTRY outweigh the bad comments! FYI anyone who has ever been lucky enough to meet Chris and the rest of the guys for that matter can tell you they are the farthest thing from self-centered!!!! Oh and did you join this site just to say that. What a waste of time!!!

Linnie
Linne,
I know what you mean. It ended way too fast! What a great night! I'm still on cloud 9! LOVED IT! LOVED IT!
I wish they could have played all night long! I was up for it! (sigh!)
Janine
Note to CLFDRESIDENT
Have you never had a bad day...have you, yourself never been late for anything? No one is perfect. I didn't mind waiting for the show to begin, and don't go pointing the finger directly at Chris. Do you know why the show was late? I bet not, I don't know either, but I really don't care. It takes tons of people to put on a show like that, so you need to stop pointing the finger at people and CHILL!
Many of us met Chris after the show and I could not imagine him ever being like that to anyone, and if he was, so what! We are all entitled to a bad day, and the entire Daughtry crew has brought more joy and helped more people with their music than you probably know. They are a generous band that gives of their time and money to worthy causes and, yes, the fans helped him get where he is today, but not totally....he worked hard to get where he is, and unless you were deaf and blind last night, you know the man has talent!
Just chill!

Janine
Sorry clearfieldresident,
Sometimes people get a little busier than expected and run a little late- you know you've done the same once or twice. Read all the other reviews, they can't all be wrong and you be right. If you weren't personally affected by whatever you've heard Chris did/didn't do, then don't judge him or anyone else in the band on it.
Sorry you didn't enjoy the show.

WhoooooooooHoooooo!!!
The show was great!!!!! Had a great time too Janine, my daughter Ashley and I loved every song he sang I don't think he could sing a bad song or write a bad song they were all great cannot wait for his next CD!!!!!! Glad you had a good time too we loved it and just rocked it out. Glad you got to meet him I was going to go over and find you but we got in the flow and just left what a big mistake. But I am glad you got to see him and the pictures are great!!!
Janine
Just read your blog. Glad your night was great also. I want to do it all over again!!
Hey everyone! So you liked my blog?
Hi Mary Sue:
Glad you liked my story. I hope I didn't sound too awe struck...but truthfully, I can't help it, I WAS! If I were younger, single, and rich...I'd probably just follow those guys around and go from show to show, but at just about 43...(this month, ugh!)...I think I'd be pushing it,( being a groupie), I don't like looking that desperate, but I had so much fun just being "groupie-ish" for a couple of hours...besides I love my family and kids, but I can dream...lol!
I agree, "HELTER SKELTER" should be on an album...but I think that with everything they cover. Did you ever hear them do, U2's "Sunday Bloody Sunday"? I didn't think anyone could do that song any better, but they blew me away the first time I saw them do it on You Tube. "Rocket Man" is another one that is so amazing, and well, just about everything they cover. Chris has a voice like no other and it's always perfect! I always said the true test of how good a band is it not to listen to their album...but to see them live, and you haven't experienced Daughty in full until you've seen them live! FLAWLESS! Thanks for reading my blog...I wanted to go to Meadville, too, but I can't talk my husband into it. It's a few hours from where I live...& It's 3 days after my birthday, but we saw them in March in Pittsburgh, yesterday in Clearfield, and we are going to York in Sept. We are average people who live on a budget, and I've just had my fair share of really big unexpected expenses, so Meadville is out of the question. Be sure to write your experience of that night down on this site, so I can live it thru you...have a great time!!! Don't hold back...if you want to dance..dance...sing, and don't worry about what anyone else thinks! You only live once!!!!
Hey Annieoakland:
Boy am I jealous! You get to see them on my birthday! Have a great time! I think we may have experienced one of the last times Chris comes out like that for the crowd...I may be wrong, but the VIP stuff they have now may change all that. I know they wouldn't let anyone actually pose for a picture with Chris last night, but if you got lucky to have someone click a fast one you might get away with it. They are saving that stuff for the VIP's, now. I really, really, really wanted a picture of me and my daughter with Chris...she is 7 and LOVES him, too, but they wouldn't let us. We got the ones I posted of us NEAR him, but we weren't allowed to turn around, smile and say, 'Cheese" for a great shot...boo hoo...my husband was too far lost in the crowd to snap the shot when I shook Chris' hand, he said if I would have just stood there for about 2 more seconds, he would have had a great shot! UGH! I sort of hate the whole VIP thing...it's OK if you can afford it, but we just can't...I felt blessed for what we got last night...really blessed...I never thought we'd ever get to experience an autograph, handshake...and a brief few words, like we did, so I joke now and say, "I can die happy now"! lol
Hi there, SUPERMOM (Cathy):
I wore a black Daughtry shirt, so I couldn't get it signed...he signed the insert of his CD for me, but my 7 year old got her shirt signed on the shoulder...it is now her most cherished possession. You all would have laughed at some of the stuff people were handing him to sign...but the smelly shoes and sandals, ewe! He didn't seem to mind, what a great guy! One really , (how should I say this), "blessed in the chest" girl went up to him and touched her shirt right above her cleavage, and said, "will you sign my shirt"...and I just laughed, because Chris, the gentleman that he is, carefully took hold of the bottom of her shirt and quickly signed it by her left side....Deanna Daughtry...you have nothing to worry about!
Our seats weren't too bad. I would have liked about 6 feet over to the left much better, but they were good enough for me! I hope you get to see them soon...they have to be getting tired of touring...it's been 2 years now, they deserve a break, but I hope they never stop touring!
Take care, all!
Janine
Just when you think you can't love them more
They prove you wrong. I had an amazing day. My husband and I went to the fair early to walk around and I had hopes to get a glimpse of the guys before the show. We were walking around and I heard that beautiful voice over everything else. We went around to get as close as we could for the sound check without getting sent away. We were lucky enough to sit and listen to the whole thing from a distance. I could see Chris the entire time. Had a hard time seeing the other guys, but I was happy just listening to them.
Then the concert itself was totally amazing. This was my sixth Daughtry concert, and was the BEST. The guys rocked the stage and Chris's voice was right on! I loved the new songs. Chris, no need to scrap them. It was a beautiful night, the stars were out and Daughtry was on the stage. I don't think it could be much better than that. But my night did end up being even more amazing. We waited around after the show to see if anyone would come out to say hello and sign autographs. We waited in the wrong place for quite awhile, and then we were directed to go out front because Chris was out signing autographs. We walked around the side and lined up along the fence and were watching Chris sign and sign autographs. Then, he had to take a break, (I think to use the bathroom), but he said he would be right back out. And, the nice guy that he is,did just as he promised. He could have just went inside and ignored all of us standing outside, and there were a lot of us, but he didn't. We were lucky enough to be right where he walked over to start signing again. My husband finally got to see why I think Chris is so great. He shook his hand and signed my CD cover. He is so nice and down to earth. That was one of the best days of my life.
Chris, Thank you so much for taking the time to come out and sign all of the autographs. You are the sweetest man. We appreciate all you do for your fans!!! I hope I will get to another show soon!
Awww Janine
That was a great review ! Thanks for sharing ...Chris & the guys have hearts of gold, dont they? They truely are awesome people !
I cant wait until Meadvillenow...LOL....Helter Skelter was my absolute fav in DE, they rocked it !! I think they should record that one !!

Wow!! What a performance. My husband and I sat in the second row (track) awesome! I had chills all over when Chris came to the stage. My huband and I enjoyed the show soooo much. I have been waiting since Mother's Day for the chance to have look at Chris and oh was it worth it. The drive from Ebensburg (1 1/2 hours)---who cares about the price of gas if Daughtry is playing that close to home. I'm sure fans have driven further. I can't wait to see them again. I can't thank my hubby enough for the "absolute best" Mother's Day present.
GREAT TASTE IN MUSIC!

2 Aug 2008, Clearfield, PA
One of the best days of our lives!!!!!
YEP! Besides my wedding day and having my kids this may just be one of the best days I've ever had! We just got back from seeing Daughtry in Clearfield, and seeing these guys on their own is undescribable! We saw Daughtry in Pittsburgh with the Bon Jovi tour, but seeing them as a headliner was a dream come true. We had great second row seats, off to the side a bit, but still great! My throat is sore from screaming! These guys can rock, and even though they do show after show and travel from town to town, they made us all feel special.
We loved the new songs, and hope they both appear on the new album....can't wait! Helter Skelter rocked!!!! My all time other favorite band is the Beatles, so this was heaven!!!! I don't know which version I like better now....you do that with ever song you cover, guys!
The concert was the best I've ever been to, but hanging around afterwards and getting to meet Chris briefly and get an autograph and a hand shake was really a dream come true. I don't know who was more excited, me or my 7 year old daughter.
The teasing Chris did with the fans by turning the lights on and off, in the trailer he was in, after the show, was so funny! Chris, this is a small town...you didn't have too far to hide, and everyone knew you were in there, that is why they all gathered around. Everytime you turned on and off the light and peaked out the window, people were going bizerk! It was hiliarous! Not sure what finally coaxed you out of there...the crowd singing "HOME" (maybe you wanted us to stop...lol)... or the begging and pleading we were all doing..we don't care because when you came out it was awesome!!!! Nobody could believe how thoughtful you were to come out to greet us all and sign all those autographs! What a night! My little girl said she will never wash the shirt Chris autographed and wants to wear it on the first day of school, (2nd grade)..lol. She also talked me into buying her a Webkinz from one of the fair vendors afterwards...(another of her addictions, besides Daughtry)...and guess what she named it? Yep! CHRIS DAUGHTRY! It was a lion Webkinz, too, so you are KING of all beasts in her eyes, Chris!
I know I am babbling, but I have to get this all out while I still have my "high" from the concert...so bear with me. I have to say that I have never heard of any famous person being as caring and generous to their fans as you were tonight, Chris. You must have signed nearly a thousand posters, shirts, checkbooks, tickets, (my cd, yeah!!!)... and lots of people's smelly shoes, (lol) for your fans tonight. You had patience I have never seen. You could have signed a few and left, but you stayed and stayed! How GREAT! Also, your security people were so cool with the fans, very respectful and patient as well. You have a class act!
It was a fight getting these tickets online with all the technical things that went on with the fair's website, but it was all SO WELL WORTH IT!!!!
SEE YOU IN YORK, PA 9/13/08!!!! Really can't wait now!!!!!!
KEEP ON ROCKIN !!!!!!!!!!
Janine
P.S. I didn't know Josh Paul's mohawk was shorter, and when I was being nosey earlier in the day trying to figure out our seats (when the stage was getting set up)...I think that was you, Josh, sitting in the front watching the stage crew work....then, when I saw you at the concert, I said," I think that was him....with a shorter mohawk! " I
felt really stupid that I didn't at least sneak a picture with you or try to come over to say, "HEY"...that is the only regret I have from tonight....maybe it wasn't you, though...hmmm now I'm not sure, but it looked like you from about 40 ft. away! bummer...lol
OK...now I have to check out my pictures...and post a few....I took tons but it was the first day with a new camera, so I am hoping they turn out!
...the next day: I have to add this to the blog. Something funny my 7 year old said during the concert: (Remember, our town is very small...smaller than Clearfield, so our fair that starts this week is about 80 times smaller than Clearfields...really small...anyway here is her comment): "Mom, do you think they should enter the Elk Co. Fair's Battle of the Bands Competition? I think they would win!" ISN'T THAT HILARIOUS!!!!! Yes, I told her...they would win!
